Switzerland was hands down my favorite part of this whole trip.
I have never been, but i truly do plan on visiting again. The beauty, the scenery, the weather, the people, the food... absolutely beautiful. The mountains in the distant look surreal, they look like a really detailed painting and its breathtaking.
We stayed in a cute hotel called "Hotel Du Nord," in a small town called "Interlaken." The experience was amazing, and the breakfast provided was unforgettable. Luckily, our hotel room's window was facing towards the mountains, so we woke up admiring the amazing view every day.
The air was so fresh and pure, the rivers were so clear and blue, and everyone is determined to keep the area clean.
There was a cute little Pond near our hotel filled with Catfish, so every morning my brother and I would visit the pond after breakfast and watch the magnificent fish and the view. There was also an amazing church in the background which really tied up the whole scenery.
On the first day we went up the mountain on a cable car, there was an unexpected restaurant and deck at the top where you can look over and see the whole town and every detail within. At first, knowing me, i was a little scared to step onto the wooden deck, but my mum encouraged me and i ended up taking magnificent photos of the whole town. My dad and i played a game where we tried to spot our hotel and all the little landmarks we could recognize from the ground. After we had lunch at 4000 ft, we headed up for a hike up the mountain. Unfortunately, we didn't make it all the way up because it was a 3 hour hike, and we were not prepared at all. We ended up going back down and enjoyed our time at the park.
The second day was my favorite. We went to the top of Europe, a mountain called "Jungfraujoch," which is the highest point in Europe. It was an amazing experience as that was the first time I've ever seen real snow in my life. I was mesmerized. We were 11,000 feet up in the air and it was really cold. I only had two sweatshirts on and some jeans, but feeling cold was honestly a new experience for me since I live in Dubai. We ate in a magnificent restaurant, we made sure we sat on the table near the large windows which outlooked the snowy mountains and clouds. I couldn't look away from the scenery as i ate my hot lasagna. I was really cold and the lasagna warmed up my tummy and i felt great.
I really enjoyed my time at Switzerland, and it was by far my favorite part of my whole summer. I was really sad to leave and i promised myself that i would go back there again in the future no matter what it takes.
